Send the Kids to School with a Mini Health Kit
The kids are going back to school and you know what that means: the great annual germ exchange will commence.
Sure, you know how to fight germs at home, but you may feel powerless to help keep your kids germ-free during school hours. Take heart – a mini health kit, simple and small enough to slip in a backpack, can be a great way to help kids fight off illness-causing germs throughout the school year.
To make your health kit, start out with a compact, fun container, like a favorite pencil case or any small container. Then, add these five items to the kit:
-
PURELL JELLY WRAP™ Hand Sanitizer. The jelly wrap allows for this small bottle of hand sanitizer to be inconspicuously strapped to a backpack or belt loop for easy access.
- Facial tissues. Classrooms will likely be stocked with these, but it never hurts to have a travel package that can be used in a moment’s notice.
- Small bandages and antibiotic ointment. This will make it easy for your child to quickly patch up little cuts and scratches.
- Cleansing or sanitizing wipes to clean dirty little hands when soap and water is not easily accessible.
- Special items. Maybe it’s an inhaler or contact solution, but all these items can be kept in the same place.
