University of Colorado Achieves Significant Results in PURELL Test
College students do their best to achieve academic excellence. But keeping up with their professors’ high expectations can be difficult, if not impossible, when they miss class due to sickness.
According to one published study1, 36 percent of college students said that illness affected their academic performance.
In order to study the effectiveness of PURELL® Instant Hand Sanitizer at reducing absenteeism in a university setting,2 researchers focused on 430 students living in four university resident halls at the Boulder campus of the University of Colorado. Half of the test subjects used PURELL regularly while the other half—the control group—didn’t use hand sanitizer. The results, as published in the American Journal of Infection Control, were that the PURELL group experienced:
- 14.8% to 39.9% decline in upper respiratory illness symptoms
- 20% reduction in illness rate
- 43% fewer missed school/work days
PURELL has proven results on college campuses. Think of what it can do to help you keep up with your busy life.
Only PURELL offers this kind of scientifically supported germ-fighting assurance when you need it most.
