GOJO Launches Online Hand Hygiene Education Tools, Studies and Coupons for Teachers

GOJO Industries, inventors of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer, is recognizing teachers for a healthy school year and for helping to promote good hand hygiene. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.1

Teachers can visit PURELL Teacher Center for a collection of hand hygiene learning tools to incorporate into the classroom environment. The Teacher Center includes online coupons and resources, including lesson plans, posters, supply checklist and scientific studies.

“PURELL Hand Sanitizer was invented for those on-the-go moments which teachers and students face every day in their busy school day,” said Kathleen Hooker, marketing director, PURELL Consumer. “That is why we are working with teachers and school administrators to provide them with Back-To-School supply lists, that include PURELL. Today, many schools across the country are already using PURELL as part of a daily hand hygiene routine along with handwashing to keep teachers and students healthy and productive.”

In a study conducted in schools, absenteeism caused by illness was 51 percent lower in classrooms that used PURELL Hand Sanitizer regularly and implemented a hand hygiene educational program versus classrooms that did not.2 PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer kills 99.99 percent of germs and is trusted by more leading hospitals than any other brand.
